PEDDIMORE COMMUNITY FUND REVISITED – Beacon Family Services

In 2018, we launched the Peddimore Community Fund, to help to strengthen communities and social value impact in surrounding local areas, as we are committed to delivering a positive impact outside of the physical boundaries of our development. The fund awards grants of up to £2,000 to support social welfare, health and well-being initiatives, sports or community projects or formal training and education programmes.

As part of our ongoing commitment, IM Properties have been revisiting some of the Peddimore Community Fund projects, managed by the Heart of England Community Foundation, to see the positive impact the grants which they’ve received are making.

Beacon Family Services has received 3 grants from the Peddimore Community fund, which go towards funding of the delivery of their services, such as Theraplay workshops for children and parents to help deal with family trauma. At the end of last year we caught up with the Sutton Coldfield based charity, to find out how the funding they’ve received from the Peddimore Community Fund benefits their organisation, families and children, and the community they serve.

So we spoke directly to Beacon’s Founder and Director, Charlotte Jenkins, Senior Therapist, Peppy Hills and Education Support Primary Specialist, Pete Brindley to talk about the funding and the crucial work that they are able to do as a result – watch below.
